Some interesting replies.

I guess the first thing that entered my head and made me knock it back was I couldn't give a fuck about Chelsea. Not just a Chelsea thing neither. I wouldn't go to any London club. I'm a football fan and would love to experience some foreign matches, but Mourinho, Terry, Stamford bridge, champions league, walking amongst their fans without West Ham. Nah. Couldn't give a fuck. Not for me.

As for it having free food and drinks in hospitality....didn't cross my mind. I'm not really one for this kind of thing anyway, I used to row with my ex all the time about this. Just not my style.. It surprises me how people put this as a main reason to go. Does it really swing it for some people that kind of thing? Strange.

It's free though! Again, doesn't bother me. I'd feel like a bit of a sell out. I'd rather allow Chelsea fans to go. Whenever I have a West Ham spare I prefer to give it away for nothing. Money / freebies...doesn't bother me.

Of course the last option is to go there, get drunk and make a right cunt of myself as croe advised. Erm...I'd rather not. The bloke giving me the ticket is a decent guy who does work in sports science and gets lots of tickets like this for all sports I might want to attend one day, and of course I'll be there for work. Probably wouldn't want to be seen as a massive pissed up liability to him in public when receiving a nice gesture like that. I see it as basic manners to be honest.

You've made the right choice. I would have taken it for many clubs, but not them.

I’m a West Ham fan, first and foremost, but im also a football fan, and although I would not pay to go and watch Chelsea, a free seat in a box!!!!

WTF were you thinking about by knocking it back, was there all the hospitality, drinks food etc as well? if so your fucking retarded for knocking it back IMO.

I would of course be cheering on Kiev in such a situation…………….

No I never watch any other football only West Ham unless it affects our chances in the league, cups.

I couldn't even be bothered to watch it on tv for free, let alone drag myself there and surround myself in their general repulsive nature, not to mention the faggy pomp of being in a box to begin with.

I'd have taken it though and shifted it on to some titanic cunt like Private Dancer.

Personally I'd love to be there the night they go out of Europe at the group stage but then again I enjoy middle-class impotent indignation immensely.

'Daddy I told you we should support Manchester City'.

'And I've told YOU Tarquin that we live in Hampshire and we must support our local team. For God sake this is the lowest point in almost seven years of supporting the blues'.

I can't think of an amount of money I would have to be paid to watch these cunts.

Re: Would YOU accept a BOX ticket for Chelsea vs Kiev?
I went as a guest of ITV a few seasons ago when they played some Russian team (I can't even remember who).

Ghastly experience. Chelsea's hospitality vaguely reminded me of an ex-girlfriend's brother's 21st birthday party at Hatfield leisure centre with added moody Russians and posh old girls whining 'oh, come on CHELSEA'.

I was standing there with my Chelsea-supporting pal (who hated it too and wished he'd had a ticket in the stands) eating grilled artichokes when a middle-aged bloke and his missus came up to me and said 'oh we've been talking about you. We come here every week and you are the first person we've ever seen eating those things'.

I said 'I love stuff like anti-pasti and anything that tastes like pickles'. He said 'oh. Not the best game in the world tonight, is it mate'? I said 'I couldn't care less as I'm West Ham and I've only come to drink your drink and eat your food'. He just sort of shuffled off.

I don't know why those cunts are compelled to talk to me. I sat with the same Chelsea pal years ago when they played us and we scored to level the game with about five minutes to go and some fat cunt behind me taps me on the shoulder and says 'them fucking West Ham wankers, eh mate'?

I said 'yeah, they take the fucking piss don't they? Every season they make us look like mugs' (by now my pal is kicking me in the side of the leg to shut me up as he has to sit there every week) 'did you hear they ambushed a load of us at the tube station before the match? Everyone ran away. It made me ashamed to be a Chelsea supporter mate'.

Strangely enough my Chelsea pal stopped inviting me to 'come and watch a proper team' after that. The ITV tickets were mine and I took him as he's one of many proper Chelsea fans who have been priced-out of going and only watches them on TV. Which seems to be about once every two days.

If it's a freemans to go with your pals, easy to get home and there is nothing else doing that day then I get why you might but why anyone would want to socialise with people they work with or do a work social is beyond me. Bore me later.

Or entertaining clients - wow zzzzzzzzzz.

Would be a definite no from me.
